The interview was conducted during Berry Innovation, the annual review of advancements in berry-based solutions. The third edition took place on October 22, 2024, at the Mała Wieś Palace near Grójec, Poland.

From a family idea
to effective skincare
We established our ecological plantation in the Kujawy region, in central Poland — away from industrial zones, traffic, and the chaos of city life. It's one of the sunniest regions in the country, with average yearly temperatures around 8°C higher than the rest of the country.
The clean air and sunshine promote slow fruit ripening and high concentration of valuable active compounds. Just a few hundred meters from the plantation lies a glacial lake, surrounded by forests and fields that create a natural barrier and uniquely stable microclimate. It is here that our haskap berries grow — rich in anthocyanins and antioxidants. Family passion, local roots, and modern extraction methods come together without compromise.

We created our brand BioHASKAP® within our family-owned company Nutracevit, founded in 2014 by siblings Małgorzata and Marcin Jaszyk. We are both involved in the cultivation and processing of certified organic haskap berries (Lonicera caerulea).
On our plantation, haskap is grown organically because we believe such a treasure should thrive naturally — without the use of chemicals. We oversee and control the entire process — from field to finished product — with full transparency to ensure the highest quality.
To maximize antioxidant content, we have been closely collaborating for many years with university departments of food science, analyzing bioactive compound levels at every stage of product development. Caring for your skin also means supporting it from inside out.

How do we create our skincare? We take our cues from nature. It offers a wealth of ready-made cosmetic solutions — oils, butters, herbs, clays, and other natural ingredients that are both powerful and inspiring.
